Our Technology
Topcon DC-4 Digital Camera
Our Topcon DC-4 Digital Camera, used in combination with our slit lamp, captures high-resolution images of the front structures of the eye, including the cornea, lens, and eyelids. We can record and document key components of many eye diseases. This is especially important in dry eye disease as it can identify inflammation, gland dysfunction, eyelid irregularities, and tear film instability in real time.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
Our Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) provides detailed, cross-sectional images of the retina and optic nerve. This non-invasive technology is essential for detecting and managing conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and many other retinal and optic nerve conditions, often before symptoms develop.
Retinal Photography
We also utilize retinal photography to capture detailed images of the back of the eye. These images are invaluable for detecting subtle changes, tracking disease progression, and coordinating care with family doctors or specialists when needed.
JETT Plasma Pen
The JETT Plasma Pen is a Health Canada–approved device that uses precise direct-current (DC) plasma energy to restore eyelid health and relieve chronic dry eye symptoms.
This non-invasive treatment improves meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), blepharitis, and demodex-related inflammation by gently treating the eyelid margin and surrounding tissue. Most patients see noticeable improvement after a series of four weekly sessions.
“Dr. Goyal has wonderful bedside manner, she truly cares and takes her time with her patients. She assisted with my dry eye concern and was thorough and took the extra steps. Thank you for everything you do and the care you provide is exceptional!
